April 2nd, 2012 the stock DIS closed at $43.84/ share. On May 31, 2012, a little under a month after the release of the film The Avengersthe stock closed at $45.71/share. As of September 7th, 2012 the stock closed at $51.74.

We may not know what the future holds, but being informed about the futures we hold, ultimately benefits. Recently, I wondered if I had invested in the Walt Disney Co (DIS) stock, before the release of the blockbuster  hit The Avengers, would I have turned a profit? It would not be very difficult to track multiple stock’s performances, as they correlate to the release of major motion pictures, but there are countless other factors that contribute to the success of a stock than this seemingly easy stock strategy. In this blog, I will incorporate many legitimate news gathering sources, such as CNBC.comYahoo Finance, and Google Finance to gather credible stock quote pricing, trends, and the latest news. Among the many other credible sources,I will also utilize BoxOfficeMojo.com, a website database of information focused on motion picture release dates (past and future), box office earnings, and other pertinent film news.  By incorporating current film trends, investment news, public opinion/ anticipation for an upcoming movie releases, past successes, and other extenuating factors, I will be able to create a well molded, unique, thought provoking, entertaining blog for your enjoyment.

By combining the most current, relevant, and reputable sources in my blog I will be able to inform, engage, and entertain with thought provoking perspectives and interpretations, but I ask that you do not misread the content of this blog. This blog is written strictly for entertainment purposes and in no way is meant to offer investment advice. However, it will guide you to some of the most informative investment services on the web.
